Witchy Poo's Shoes - Halloween Decorating

I saw a pair of witch boots similar to these on an online craft board
and fell in love with them.  I sketched out a pattern and sewed them
together, adding a bit of "scuff" on them for an old look.

50's Girl Costume

My 12 year old daughter decided she'd like to be
a fifties girl this year.  So, with a poodle skirt pattern from eBay,
5 metres of pink broadcloth, 2 metres of pink tulle for a crinolin,
and a piece of felt for a poodle, I got to work!

The felt poodle, cute as can be!

We added ankle socks, a hair ribbon and a Banana Republic cardigan
to complete the 50's look. Sure hope the greasers stay away!

Halloween 2012

Sewing Halloween costumes is so much fun!
This year my little costume designer (Cameron, age 9)
presented me with this sketch of his idea for a costume.

Add the mask and the cleaver, and you have
"a scary guy in a cloak"!

But scary soon turned silly and flirty!

More Ornies for Fall!

After sewing up some acorn bowl fillers last week,
I moved on to pumpkins and a turkey!

These pumpkins range from 4 inches to 10 inches across,
and with Halloween on it's way, they are such a cute fall ornament.

And a sweet little primitive turkey for our
Canadian Thanksgiving Day yesterday!

Fall Ornies

Fall has arrived, and what better way to dress up
your table than with adorable acorn bowl fillers.

These are so cute, I can't wait to sew some more!
