Maid of Honour - Dress Hem

This gorgeous gown will be worn by the Maid of Honour at an
upcoming wedding.  Since she lives far from the bride, the bridal shop
and the ceremony location, Log Cabin Sewing Studio
helped with the dress alteration.

With a new shorter hem for the lining, dress and chiffon overlay,
the MoH can focus on the bride and won't need to worry
about tripping over her own dress.

These new drapery panels were about 12 inches
too long for my client.

Hemmed and ready to hang!

Summer Purse Repair

After a summer of use and abuse, the handles of this
cute summery bag were in need of some tlc.

So I headed to Canadian Tire for some cotton rope:

Then used the same knot that my kids use when making
friendship bracelets:

Then tea-dyed the new rope handles and sewed them in place.

Dressed up Flip Flops

Labour Day has come and gone, but with this great weather
we still need our flip flops!  I found this pair on clearance for 85 cents.

A few fabric strips and a quick macrame knot make
these flip flops look comfy and cute.
