Happy Halloween!

I had a vision this Halloween.  My 8 year old son wanted to dress up as Elvis.  Easy.
So I changed this frumpy old nightgown:

into Elvis' 1970's Aloha Eagle costume, his very famous sequined white jumpsuit

with the hip length cape and American eagle in red, blue and gold gems.

 Look out Campbellford, Elvis Lives!

Halloween Day

Today I stepped out of the sewing room and into the kitchen to make some Halloween treats!

Recycled Clothing

Check out the Morticia Addams costume I made for myself using some re-purposed clothing!  A long sleeved black tee, a half slip and a full slip has become Morticia's full length black gown with wrist fringe and a creepy, pointy train-like bottom.  My total cost... $4!

Every Little Girl LOVES A Tutu!

Little girls love to play dress-up and what could be
more fun than a fancy tulle tutu?
These tutus have an easy elastic waistband,
which make them simple to pull on.
Choose from solid or multi-coloured tutus for $20 each.

BootCozies - Rubber Boot Liners

Fall is such a beautiful time of year, but with it comes the cold, wet weather.  Rubber boots are great for kids to wear when they're outside playing, but they are sooooo cold!  Check out my BootCozies, which are polar fleece liners for rubber boots.  Unlike the ones I've seen in the stores that are baggy and clump up in the boot, these are like heavy socks and fit comfortably on the foot.  And they'll keep your tootsies toasty warm, too!  These can be made in custom colours to suit yours or your child's "rubber boot syle sense" and are $10 a pair.

Or, wear your BootCozies around the house without the rubber boots, kind of like funky slippers!
